Joseph Chen

Hello!

I recieved my Ph.D. in mathematics in spring 2025 at NYU Courant, where I had the priviledge of being advised by Eyal Lubetzky. I previously studied mathematics in my undergrad at UC Berkeley.

I am interested in probability theory, specifically lattice models in statistical mechanics. My work has been on interfaces in the low-temperature Ising and Potts models (and related models, e.g. random cluster, solid-on-solid). Here is my CV.

I will be a postdoc in the group of Piet Lammers at Sorbonne Université from fall 2025-2027, sponsored by FSMP.
